Sadda Haq and MJ’s Lead Guitarist

Sadda Haq – the latest chartbuster ruling the roost from the film Rockstar. We all know that the songs of this film have been crooned by our genius musician of our country, A.R.Rahman. But did you know that Rahman got Michael Jackson’s lead guitarist to work for the ‘Sadda Haq’ song? Yes, MJ’s lead guitarist, Orianthi Panagaris, who worked with Michael Jackson for his ill-fated ‘This Is It’ concert agreed to work with our Maestro for ‘Sadda Haq’.
While several guitarists, both internationally and from India were being scrutinized for working on the song, AR wanted Orianthi for the song; given her work record and her success. Orianthi in fact won the ‘Breakthrough Guitarist of the year Award’ for the year 2010. So, Rahman met with Orianthi in Los Angeles and made her listen to the rough composition. Orianthi loved the composition and said an immediate yes to our Maestro and lent her strings for the now chartbuster.
The ‘Mozart of Madras’ is such a talent that any International Musician would love to work with him.
